Company Background:
 
An US Manufacturing Company, is now looking for the following positions in its R&D center.
 
Main Responsibilities:
 
  • 40% - Ensure new product development process compliance from a manufacturing/operations supply chain aspect.
  • 20% - Facilitate and participate in new product development, production builds and (ie. alpha beta pilot rampup) with production site of origin.
  • 15% - DFM/DFA set guidelines, objectives and measure and track adherence and gaps during development process.
  • 10% - Ensure Manufacturing plan is in conjunction with production site or contract manfufacturer on overall plan to support product launch.
  • Facilitate and participate in the NPD product introductions/hand-off into the factory/region of choice,  to include China, Philippines, India, or other regions as required.
  • Ensure compliance to APC-MGE NPD process; specifically Manufacturing & Supply Chain elements.
  • The incumbent will represent Manufacturing during the NPD process and ensure products have been reviewed from a DFMA aspect.
  • Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of improvements to the manufacturing process including tooling and assembly methods
  • Evaluate and drive resolution to product and material quality issues relating to design, test and manufacturing.
  • Recognize failure trends and recommend corrective action through continuous improvement processes.
  • Utilitize advanced Manufacturing/QA techniques (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma) in problem resolution/continuous improvement and root cause analysis.  Also act as a trainer with site NPD teams for utilitzation of these techniques.
  • Responsible to identify and implement cost reductions in both labor and material.
  • Assist as required, in qualifying new vendors for part qualifications and Turnkey Manufacturing.
  • Ensure the sourcing/procurement/supply chain plan on NPD projects meet Program requirements.
 
Qualification & Requirement:
 
  • Bachelor, Manufacturing,  Industrial, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5 Years of work experience
  • Six Sigma, Lean, Solidworks
 
Nationality:Prefer local Chinese
 
Compensation:The starting compensation will depend upon, among others, the individual’s experience, qualifications and current earnings.
