Position: | Platform Engineer - Mechanical | | | Description: | | | | Company Background: | | | An US Manufacturing Company, is now looking for the following positions in its R&D center.
| | | | Main Responsibilities: | | | - Identify, Investigate, & Implement resolutions to product quality/performance issues in both manufacturing/field environments.
- Act as technical resource to in region Tech Support / Field Service Engineers as issues are escalated.
- Act as lead resource in identifying & qualifying cost reductions across product lines.
- Interact with customers from a technical perspective – solve product issues on-site.
- Act in Platform role on New Product Development team, inform team of field issues.
- Act as a liaison between US Design Center / Platform Team and manufacturing facility.
| | | | Qualification & Requirement: | | | - Manufacturing experience, direct field experience and knowledge of air-conditioning.
- mechanical components and electrical components is required.
- Qualification and Cost reduction experience is required.
- Specific experience with Precision Controlled HVAC a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving skills, leadership skills, CAD experience (Solid Works) as well as effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Domestic and international travel will be required.
- Be able to interact well with customers, and the various internal disciplines.
