A Famous Sports Brand is now looking for Business Development Manager – China and Taiwan
 
Main Responsibilities:
 
  • Assist the VP – Asia Pacific to ensure the achievement of the region’s annual OGSM.
  • Under the direction and guidance of the VP – Asia Pacific, take responsibility for the proactive management of Licensees and Distributors in the development of the brand and business in the region.
  • Take specific responsibility for the market management, regional OGSM achievement and brand and business development in particular :
    - Focus on development in the strategically important China and Taiwan markets. 
    - Establish with all regional Distributors and Licensees for agreement with the VP – Asia Pacific, an annual Sales and Marketing Plan for each market.
    - Work with the VP – Asia Pacific to develop annually a Strategic Marketing Plan.
    - Ensure implementation of l global marketing programs and adoption of the global brand positioning / segmentation strategies.
    - Ensure that Distributors/ Licensees comply fully with all reporting requirements.
    - Liaise with International Marketing to police and ensure regional Licensees’ adherence to / compliance with the Design and Product Approval Process and procedures.
    - Liaise with the VP – Asia Pacific and International Marketing, to ensure that the Brand and market needs are met in the development of the local Licensed Products.
    - Actively monitor and develop the importation of distributed products into the markets where relevant, from global sources and through the Direct Supply system, to directly enhance income.
    - Provide regular situation analysis to the VP – Asia Pacific, in terms of:
    * Local market activity and intelligence.
    * Distributor / Licensee performance:
     Sales and marketing activity.
     Product design and development activity, where relevant.
     Financial performance when compared to budgets and contractual minimums                                                                                                                                                                      
    * Competitor activity in the local markets.
    * Local market pricing structures (including retail and wholesale margins).
    - Ensure regular liaison with each market’s respective Customer Service Representative, to ensure a full understanding and early resolution of market management and business development issues arising.
  • Manage the Business Development interface with Asia.
 
Qualification & Requirement:
 
  • 3 to 4 years experience in international brand and business management, preferably from a Sales and Marketing background.
  • Managing Licensee and/or Distributor business structures through the China market in the Sports, Fashion or FMCG industries.
  • Ability to write and speak English fluently.
 
Nationality:Prefer local Chinese
 
Compensation:The starting compensation will depend upon, among others, the individual’s experience, qualifications and current earnings.
