- Assessment and approval of hull structures for newbuilding projects.
- Plan approval of launching arrangements and assessment of ship safety aspects.
- Strength analyses within the scope of plan approval.
- Competent point of contact for design offices, yards and shipowners.
| | | | Qualification & Requirement: | | | - Completed engineering education as Naval Architect.
- 10 years’ work experience as a hull structure engineer of seagoing vessels or 5 years’ work experience in a classification society as plan approval engineer with prior work experience gained at a shipyard.
- Excellent theoretical knowledge and practical experience in building seagoing vessels.
- Sound professional experience in strength calculation of ship structures global and local, fatigue, and buckling strength.
- Pronounced technical and economic understanding as well as familiarity with class rules and finite element calculations.
- MS Office skills and fluent technical/business English, both spoken and written.
- Team worker, yet also accustomed to working independently and under pressure.
